What do Yao Ming, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Kofi Annan have in common? They are each featured in the Famous People section of CultureGrams!
CultureGrams offers brief biographies of famous people from each country that has a CultureGrams report. Users can learn about famous politicians, athletes, artists, musicians, authors, and scientists that have been influential in their countries and the world. Here is an example of a Famous People entry:
The Famous People section can be accessed by clicking “Famous People” on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. This will take you to the list of CultureGrams countries, and you can select which country’s famous people you’d like to view from there. Alternatively, you can view a country’s famous people by clicking the “Famous People” link on the right-hand toolbar found on each country’s landing page.
Do you have any suggestions for famous people we should add to our lists? Let us know! Also, please share any experience you’ve had using the Famous People section of CultureGrams in the classroom. We’d love to hear about it!
